WELLNESS DAY - GABORONE CAMPUS
Annually, the Student Support & Welfare Department together with peer educators and the SRC organises a wellness day for students to encourage them to live healthy lifestyles. The day is a collaboration between the College, government ministries like Ministry of Health and Wellness and other non- governmental stakeholders. This year on the April 27th, the Gaborone campus students convened in the main campus to celebrate the day under the theme “Fitness for all, fitness for success”. In the early morning, there was a fitness walk around the Fairgrounds Centre to raise awareness on fitness and encourage walking as one form of exercise. The activities for the day included zumba and aerobics sessions, traditional games, food competition, stall viewing and vital signs check. It ended with 5 aside games. Dr Marape was the guest speaker for the day.
